Are you a student looking to complete those required volunteer hours for graduation?

The highly anticipated Marmora Truck Show is a summer event that you don’t want to miss! Students can earn volunteer hours during their summer holiday! Each volunteer will receive a special souvenir T-shirt, refreshments, free weekend admission to the show and will be invited to attend a Volunteer Wrap Up Party!

The Marmora Truck Show is organized by a non-profit organization, Fair2Give. Profits earned will be used to purchase and install fitness equipment for public use at the Marmora Memorial Park.

Numerous volunteers are needed at this incredible event, so it won’t be hard to find a position that is just the right fit for you. Volunteer positions are available in the following areas:

Volunteer Opportunities
A. Registration

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Issuing wristbands for visitors
  • Identifying returning visitors
  • Entering data
  • Collecting fees

Position requires:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work in crowded and high-volume areas
  • Attention to detail
  • Math and cash handling skills
D. Maintenance

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Spotting unregistered attendees
  • Ensure site cleanliness is up to standards

Position requires:

  • Working in crowded and high volume areas
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Taking directions, as required
B. Parking

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Coordinating Parking
  • Assisting in traffic flow

Position requires:

  • Physical Activity
  • Working in crowded and high volume areas
  • Organization skills
  • Providing clear instructions and taking direction
E. Volunteer tent services

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Setting up and preparation
  • Distribution of water, fresh fruit and meals

Position requires:

  • Physical activity- moving and setting up tables/food stations
  • Handling food products, kitchen utensils, cleanliness
  • The ability to have fun and keep team members motivated throughout the day
C. Runner

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Spotting unregistered attendees
  • Communicating with each station’s needs
  • Responding to inquiries
  • Providing directions to visitors

Position requires:

  • Working in crowded and high volume areas
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Taking directions, as required
F. Wrap Up Party

Volunteers to assist with:

  • Setting up for party
  • Tearing down and cleaning up
  • Ensuring site cleanliness is up to standards

Position requires:

  • Physical activity- moving and setting up tables/chairs and food stations
  • Physical activity- moving and stacking tables/chairs
  • Light housekeeping

NOTE: Date and time for each position may vary. The number of volunteers needed for each position vary, and desired position availability is not guaranteed.
Positions are given on a first come, first serve basis.

Volunteer Checklist

1. Registration

To register, please complete the application below before the application deadline — March 31, 2019.

2. Confirmation

Applications will be reviewed and approved by June 15, 2019. Volunteers will be informed using the contact information they provide in their registration. Volunteers are required to complete video training and 1-day orientation prior to the actual event.

3. Rules and Regulations

In becoming a volunteer for The Marmora Truck Show, we ask that you:

  • Support the aims and objectives of Fair2Give.
  • Wear your uniform at all times during the shift.
  • Participate in all relevant induction and training programs.
  • Only undertake duties you are authorized to perform, always operate under the direction and supervision of nominated staff, as well as obey reasonable directions and instructions.
  • Understand and comply with the organizations’ policies and procedures.
  • Notify your supervisor or another member of staff of any health and safety issues or potentially hazardous situations that may pose a risk to you or others, and report any accidents or incidents relating to staff, volunteers, or the workplace.
  • Behave appropriately and courteously to all staff, exhibitors, truckers and the public in the course of your role.
  • Use any property or equipment given to you in your role safely and only for purpose of the role, and return it to the organization when you finish your volunteer role.
  • Let us know if you wish to change the nature of your contribution (e.g., hours, role) to The Marmora Truck Show Event Coordinator at any time.
  • Comply with the law at all times.
  • Be open and honest in your dealings with us, and let us know if we can improve our volunteer program and the support that you receive.
  • Be in uniform at all times during each shift.
  • Do not chew gum while in uniform.
  • Refrain from using of cellular phones, video game equipment, music players, or any other electronic device, while volunteering, unless for emergencies.
  • Do not smoke, consume alcohol, use any drugs and/or be under influence.
  • Do not posses any of firearms, pocket knives, and/or any other weapon that may cause you or others harm.

4. Certificate

Volunteers will receive a letter of completed volunteer hours via email. Letters will be sent out individually within one week post event. Please direct all inquires to Volunteer@MarmoraTruckShow.com
